While I have issues with the renaming, I would like to thank the new owners for putting a huge investment into the Fort Henry Mall, to update and improve the aesthetics and layout. I also understand they found it necessary to change the name in order to draw new tenants. One ingredient missing that will really put the mall on the map and make the new “Kingsport Town Center” live up to its name, will be to surround the area with condo’s or apartments and several ammenities. Making the site into a small town would transform the area, increase much needed residential (the building of lofts in downtown can’t keep up with the demand), increase foot traffic, create a captive audience, increase sales, etc… the list goes on. This same approach is being utilized all over the country with great success.

Jao, kako zelo mi najeda sprehajanje po vele-tregovskih centrih. Sploh, ko greš po kakšno malenkost, ker si pa? že tam. Nih?e te ne opozori, da se je potrebno psihi?no in predvsem fizi?no pripravt na maraton. Ker ni lahko navigirat vozi?ka med policami, kjer je polno ljudi, pri tem pa dejansko najti prti?ke, tisto krta?ko in tisti jogurt.  Hja…shoping je naporen
O, danes sem že ni?kolikokrat doživela isti fenomen. Naro?i stranka 20dag salame. Prodajalka nalaga rezino po rezino. In glej ga zlomka! Tehtnica se ustavi in gospa prijazno vpraša: Je lahko 23dkg? -Am, NE!! ?e re?e 20 je to 20. No, to sploh ni point. Bistvo je, da vedno, vedno, zaokrožijo vse lepo navzgor. Zakaj nikoli ne vprašajo: Je lahko 19dkg? Ja, prodaja je pa? prodaja.

Hard to believe but it is that time of the summer.  It is time to get the kids ready for school.  Time to buy SCHOOL SUPPLIES. I know this can be stressful. I have seen many parents (myself included) lose it in the school supply aisle!
Here is a little tidbit that might help make the process a bit easier.  Shop alone!!  I know the kids love to pick out the cool supplies, which they should do , but you can take care of the rest without their input.  What you can do is make two list, one for you to take care of  ( generic items like glue, rulers, crayons, pencils, lead, etc.) and one with the items the kids will want to choose (personal item like the binders, book covers and backpacks).

That’s right, everyone’s favorite big-box store has released its new logo! It’s fresh, new, and possibly improved! It only makes me wonder… will Target and K-Mart follow with their own redesigns? What do you think?
